St John's Hospice The hospice provides specialist palliative care. John was moved to St John's Hospice for the last week of his illness. The hospice staff were amazingly caring and supportive to the whole family, ensuring John's last week was comfortable and dignified. The Lewy Body Society When John was diagnosed with Lewy Body Dementia, none of the family had heard the name of this disease before. The Lewy Body Society has been set up to fund research into the disease and to raise awareness. Parkinson's UK John was initially diagnosed with Parkinson's before the diagnosis was later refined to Lewy Body Dementia. Both diseases share a similar set of symptoms.
